- I am setting sail from Portugal on a search for gold! The travel will not be easy considering on the food that we depend on could make us sick. Sometimes the water has algae and bacteria growing in it which could also make me sick.
- I think I see something ahead of us. Exploring the west coast of Africa was not easy. That is why I brought a compass and a long line. These will help us know which direction we are going and know how fast we are traveling.
- We will have a lot of crew members that will not survive on our journey due to diseases such as scurvy. We will have to keep moving forward.
- This tells you about their beginning of the journey. This tells you some of the dangers and tells you what their searching for and where they came from.
- This gives you ideas of new technologies and tells you what the new technologies are used for. It also tells you about where they are exploring.
- This gives you a idea of what happened along the journey when the crewmen have died and they had to continue their journey and move on.
