  • I am very excited because tomorrow I am traveling to Peru, I have hired an agency that will show me different events.
  • That's called juane, and that drink is a beer called San Juan, and those long tubes are chups hahaha
  • Welcome to the festival of San Juan, eat everything.
  • Why are people eating rice, with that type of drink and those long tubes?
  • Activities that take place on this date are book festivals, craft fairs, concerts by musical groups, dances, bonfires and the election of Miss San Juan.
  • Now why is everything purple?
  • Haha calm down, it's for the month of the lord of miracles.
  • Doña Josefa Marmanillo, who lived in the Cañete Valley, was an Afro-Peruvian slave well known for being a great cook. One of his greatest recipes was nougat. Unfortunately, Josefa suffered from a strange illness that eventually paralyzed her arms. Josefa will leave the procession of the Lord of Miracles, to implore the Purple Christ for her healing. So great was his devotion that, the grandparents say, the miracle was granted to him. In gratitude to the Lord of Pachacamilla, she returned the following year and offered him her popular nougat. This custom was repeated every year, until the dessert captivated not only Christ, but all his devotees.
  • love this trip, I will repeat it!
