- Rainsford was here. He left a trap. Rainsford, if you are within the sound of my voice, let me congratulate you. I shall be back.

- Rainsford
- Zaroff
- Rainsford! You have been hiding in my room? You've won, but how?
- Haha, Zaroff, I swam. It was quicker than walking through the jungle. You must set me free immediately.
- Rainsford
- I cannot believe you've won. I underestimated you. Goodbye Rainsford, you deserve this.
- Goodbye, Zaroff. Remember this.
- At this point in the story, Rainsford only has to survive a few more hours. He pulls a few tricks and stunts, successfully pulling Zaroff off of his track and giving himself a higher success rate. But now, with Ivan also being on the hunt for him, he needed to do something so clever Zaroff would never expect it coming. And, he needed to do it fast.
- Rainsford had the brilliant idea of hiding in Zaroff's room, waiting for after Zaroff came into his room to surprise him. Rainsford was able to dodge all security around the house by swimming to it. He gave Zaroff the ultimate surprise and won!
- As a result of Rainsford surviving three days in the jungle, Zaroff promised him a leave on a boat to a nearby city. Rainsford was so proud of himself and couldn't wait to get off that island and be back to safety.
