- Hello I am Marine! ThIs is where we fur trade! The Fur trade began in eastern Canada where the French built the first fur trade post! I just got one of these they are different types of bear fur!
- Uh-Oh!
- I love fur trading posts because i can study about the fur i can think about what animal they used to make a coat or decorations. Like the one Marine got is bear fur and they were grizzly bear fur, polar bear fur! The point of fur trading was trying to make us warm.
- Marine: Fur trading things can actually warm you up sometimes! For example if you get racoon fur or bear fur you can make a coat out of them! All you'd have to do is sew them together.
- I'm so cold! But my fire isn't working. I better go to a fur trading post to get warmer.
- Hmm! I am quite hungry. Maybe instead of going to a fur trade post because I go there everyday i will just catch some goods myself! Ooh fish perfect for dinner! And maybe I could find some deer.
- Marine: This man has an excellent way of getting goods but without fur trading! He will catch some fish to eat! But he obviously won't eat fish everyday This thing he is using is a fish catcher.
- So really what we do when we fur trade is that we just give accessories made out of fur like for example a big badge made out of different bear's fur like the one you got. And we also give hats coats. And we of course give goods like fish and meat!
- So what do you give at a fur trading post give me some examples!

- Really? Wow! I might one day go to a fur trading post in the rocky mountains of Alberta because I already went to a fur trading post south of the Grassland region of Alberta.
