- Stanley was walking home after school when he saw a pair of shoes fall right on top of him see his family is cursed with bad luck but only the men in the family
- Stanley was sent to camp green lake a place where it never rained they wasn't even a lake they he met zero how came out to be his friend they had to dig holes every day 5 foot deep 5 foot wide you could measure with your shovel
- one day as Stanley was digging he stopped and found something it was a gold tube on was a engraved heart that had the letters K.B inside of it Stanley wondered what it was just then x-ray came by and asked what it was Stanley had made a promised to give x ray what ever he found so he gave it to him but told him to hold on to it til the next day and he did he should the counselor and got the day of double shower and a snack
- as they were digging mr.pendaski the counselor came to fill they're canteens and as they were doing that he was making fun of zero being so quite as he was he spelled out the word dig and zero grabbed the shovel and smacked him and just before he ran of he said to mr.pendaski dig and ran off Stanley tried to yell his name but no response day by day Stanley missed him more so one day he decided he was going to run off but he also stole the water truck and ran it into a hole
- sanely eventually found zero in fact under a boat called Mary Lou Stanley still begged zero to go back to camp but he refused so that talked and ate something zero called sploosh but as they were talking Stanley spotted something of in the distance it was on of the mountain but at the top looked like a thumbs up so Stanley and zero were going up that mountain but it was very riskiny Stanley nearly fell and zero was very sick stanely carry him all the way up
- up there they were quite successful they found onions water and zero confessed that he stole the shoes not Stanley finally Stanley figured out something and that was they re was a buried Treasury in the lake so they decide to dig one more hole and eventually found it but so did the warden and they all stood they re all night with yellow spotted lizards not even one bite the whole night eventually the lawyer showed up and got Stanley and zero and as they left it started to rain
