- Seven Chosen to Serve(6:1-7)
- The disciples were having trouble distributing food so they picked 7 faithful men for the job. Stephan was one of these men and they went up to the apostles who prayed and laid their hands on them
- Stephan is Provoked(6:8-11)
- Stephan was preaching in front of the synagogue of Freedmen when some of the people who belonged to freedmen started saying he was preaching blasphemy. Then the crowd near by grab Stephan and brought him in front of the council
- “We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God.”
- Stephan Meets Before the Council(6:12-15)
- The crowd started claiming to the Council that he was preaching that Jesus of Nazareth will destroy their home and change their ways. But when the council looked at him they saw that his face was that of an angel
- “This man never stops saying things against this holy place and the law; for we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place and will change the customs that Moses handed on to us.”
