- Romeo Enters the Masquerade Ball
- "I have a feeling this party tonight will be the start of something bad, something that will end in my own death."
- "Did my heart ever know love before this moment? My eyes were liars, then, because I never saw true beauty before tonight."
- Romeo finds Love again
- Tybalt tries to intervene
- "That's him, that villain Romeo"
- "Calm down, gentle cousin. Leave him alone"
- In this scene Romeo and Benvolio are entering the Capulet's Masquerade Ball. Romeo is still upset about Rosealine, but Benvolio insists that he tries to get his mind off of her by going to the ball to look at all the beautiful girls. Romeo thinks that the ball however will end badly resulting in his death.
- The First Kiss
- "You kiss like you've studied how."
- As the party goes on he still isn't having much fun because he is still mourning over Rosealine. But then when he sees Juliet, it is love at first sight. Romeo falls in love immediately having to know who she is.
- Romeo gets told the truth
- "Is she a Capulet? Oh , this is a heavy price to pay! My life is in the hands of my enemy."
- "Indeed, young man, her mother is the lady of the house."
- Tybalt sees Romeo at his party, thinking he has come to mock the party. He becomes very angry with him and the feud between their families. Capulet however tell Tybalt to calm down, ignore him, and tolerate Romeo.
- Juliet, stunned by truth
- "His name is Romeo. He's a Montague. He's the son of your worst enemy."
- "The only man I love is the son of the only man I hate!... Love is a monster for making me fall in love with my worst enemy."
- Romeo speaks to Juliet about how he has fallen in love with her and confesses his love to her. Then Romeo and Juliet kiss for the first time.
- "Sin from my lips? You encourage crime with your sweetness. Give me my sin back."
- Romeo as the Nurse who Juliet's mother is, the Nurse tells Romeo how Juliet's mother is a Capulet. Romeo is surprised when he is first told because he realizes that if he wishes to marry her he will have to ask the Capulet's, his enemy, for permission.
- When the Nurse informs Juliet of Romeo's family. Juliet is stunned along with upset that she didn't realize that he is a Montague and the son of his enemy until after she has fallen in love with him.
