- *Random mumble from inside Clarisse's house
- Are you Happy?
- After a long day of work, Montag walks home feeling proud to be a Fireman in the society he lives in. As he walks toward his house he sees his neighbor a teenage girl named Clarisse who starts a conversation with him about if he is happy in life. Montag realizes he is missing something and starts to question reality as a whole.
- As Montag starts to question the world he lives in, Mildred his wife still follows the norms of their society. Mildred deals with some of her anxiety through pills, she soon overdoses on these pills. This sequence of events helps to clear Montag's head even more.
- As Montag continues to question the world around him he goes to a house suspected of books. After an abundance of books is found the woman who owns the house decides to die with her books, but before she and her house are burned Montag steals a book.
- After Montag witnesses the death of the old lady and her books he loses a bit of control and decides to read poetry to Mildred and her friends. Mrs. Phelps reacts to the poem by crying and Mrs. Bowles reacts by getting angry at Montag.
- After a report was put in through Mildred and her friends Captain Beatty, the fire chief gets word of this and heads to Montag's house to burn it. To make it sink in more for Montag breaking the rules Beatty makes Montag burn the rooms one by one. In retaliation, Montag kills Beatty and goes on the run with a mechanical hound in pursuit of him.
- Montag makes it to the tree line where he can disguise his scent through the river water and exchange clothes. After following the train tracks he gets into contact with a hobo group full of people who love to read and plan on changing the world back to how it used to be. As Montag and the group continue the war that was taking place causes a bomb falls on Montag's former city, leaving the group help the city and bring books back.
