  • The Progressive Era labor issues were issues with child labor, safety, protection, and health. Lewis Hine, Jacob Riis, and Teddy Roosevelt made impacts to improve labor. so normal people like us and our kids would have better lives.
  • Immigrants like us came in droves to America during the Progressive Era. We all struggled with housing, over crowding, jobs, and more. People like Lillian Ward made settlement houses to make life easier for us.
  • Women's suffrage was majorly impacted during the Progressive Era. Women could not vote, own land, or do anything without men. Women like Susan B. Anthony, Harriet Tubman, and Frances Ellen Watkins played big parts in gaining rights for women of all generations. 
  • Prohibition issues began with banning alcohol for the moral of society. This movement was supported by the middle class to drive a wedge between distillers and corrupted politicians. The National Woman's Christian Christian Temperance Union was key to prohibition happening.
  • Muckrakers like Claude Wetmore and Lincoln Steffen were investigative reporters that helped uncover injustice and oversights in American during the Progressive Era
