On April 13, 1919, many people had gathered around Jallianwala Bagh in Amritsar, Punjab protesting against the arrest of Dr. Satyapal and Dr. Kitchlew as these two people had protested against the Rowlatt act. British soldiers including General R.E.H Dyer were present
The people got cornered by the British and the General R.E.H Dyer commanded to fire on the civilians.
Thousands of people had died that day and this was known as a significant event in Indian history and this was known as the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre
