- Oh, no I forgot to do my homework!!!
- AFTER RECESS
- My Name is Noodle. Sometimes things happen to me that get me in trouble. But its "Not My Fault". I feel like everybody is always picking on me. Seems like i'm the only one who gets caught.
- ON THE WAY TO THE LIBRARY
- But Its Not my fault. You didn't let me go to Recess!!
- Yesterday, I didn't get my math homework done. So my teacher made me stay in from Recess and do it!! Rats!!! But it wasn't my fault.
- AT THE LIBRARY
- You have to return your overdue book first!!
- Last night I had to go to my big brother's basketball game. And by the time I got home it was too late and my mom made me go to bed.
- After Recess we all headed to the library to work on our science projects. My teacher wouldn't let me go to Recess, I had extra energy. I jumped up to touch the light. On the way down Merry Gold got in the way and her head hit my arm.
- But it's not my fault!!
- Merry Gold: Ouch!!! Teacher Noodle hit me!!! Noodle: Its not my fault! My legs just needed to jump. It wasn't my fault my arm did it. It was just a little bump.
- Teacher Noodle Hit Me!!!
- Then when I got to the library , I couldn't work on my report because the librarian would not let me check out the book that I needed.
- But its not my fault!!
- My mom didn't remind me
- DURING P.E.
- HAHAHA
- Teacher Noodle pushed me!!!
- AFTER P.E.
- Things are not the way they should be. I always get blamed.

- Teacher: Noodle today you had a rough day..
- AFTER CLASS
- Noodle, there are no but's in my sentence. Today you had a rough day, but tomorrow is a new day.
- Noodle could you please stay after class?
- BUT!!
- In P.E. Ross Gray tripped me on purpose & laughed at me when I fell down. So I pushed him over.
- ONCE I GOT HOME
- Noodle, your teacher emailed me today.
- Rose Gray tripped me on purpose, and laughed which made me mad. My hands were so mad that I pushed him even though my brain told me not too.
- HERE'S WHY ITS NOT MY FAULT
- I didn't get my homework done, because the game went late and you made me go to bed
- Noodle: But it's not my fault. Julian talked to me first! Teacher: Noodle please stop lollygagging. Noodle: I was born this way, its not my fault
- MOM'S RESPONSE
- My job is to teach you to become your own problem solver. The next time you make a mistake, think, Yep that was me. What can I do to Its going to be hard, but the good stuff in life is not free.
- Just as my teacher was about to say "Noodle" for the 500th time. The bell rang. Noodle, my teacher said. Please stay after class for a minute so we can talk.
- CONFLICT RESOLUTION
- Noodle everybody makes mistakes. And mistakes can be a good thing. Because every time you make one, it gives you a chance to learn something. If you blame others you give away your chance to learn. Don't make an excuse when you do something wrong. Just own it and say "Yep I did that, Now what can I do to improve my situation"?
- When I got into my house, my mom gave me an angry look. I could tell just by the way she looked at me, I could tell I was in trouble.
- But.. but..
- She told me today you had a rough day....
- Things are not the way they should be. I feel like everybody is always picking on me. I always get blamed. Seems like i'm the only one who gets caught. Poor me.
- My mouth is addicted to talking.
- My teacher wouldn't let me go to Recess and my legs needed to jump. Merry Gold got in the way.
- I couldn't do my report because I couldn't check out the new book because you forgot to put my over due book in my backpack.
- Noodle, i'm not talking about who's fault it is. I'm talking about who's responsibility it is. Blaming others is a reason, but it's not an excuse. If you keep blaming everyone else this is a game you will lose.
- Noodle I love you with all of my heart. And I wish I could solve all of your problems for you, but i cant.
- You are responsible for the things you do at school and at home. You are in charge of letting me know when you have homework. You are in charge of returning your library books. And you are in charge of your legs, your arms, your hands, your voice, and your tongue. Today you made a few mistakes and it caused your day to be rough, but don't blame others for your poor choices. But don't blame others for your poor choices because that will make your life tough.
- Get rid of the phrase, "Its Not My Fault"!
- If you are brave enough to own your mistakes, imagine how great you will become. You will learn a lot and make better choices and your life will be so much fun.
- Maybe my mom was right. I was blaming others. Yep I guess i did make a few wrong choices today. I have to start taking responsibility for my own actions and not blame others for my mistakes
