  • The Wednesday wars by Gary D. SchmidtHolling Hoodhood lives with his mom, dad, & his sister in which he calls "The Perfect House" in Long Island, New York. He just started 7th grade in Camillo Middle school.
  • Climax
  • His teacher Mrs. Baker doesn't like Holling. Every Wednesday, instead of going to religion classes he spends his time with Mrs. Baker. He thinks Mrs. Baker hates him because she makes him do chores.
  • Falling Action
  • Usually, Mrs.Baker gave Holling chores to keep him busy. After she gave Shakespeare plays to read and he learned lessons that helped him in the world. Then his sister, Heather, runs to California.
  • Resolution
  • The bond between Holling and Mrs. Baker grew stronger. Then they went on a field trip to explore architectural sites and Holling knew more than what his dad said. His dad is an architect.
  • I know right.
  • This place is nice.
  • Holling want her sister, Heather, back so he gives his money to make her come back. Then he goes to camp with Mrs. Baker and his friends. Holling told his father that he doesn't want to follow his footsteps.
  • Heather returns and Mrs. Baker's husband returns from the Vietnam war. Holling throughout the story builds a strong bond with Mrs. Baker.
