Bless you, fair dame! I am not to you known, though in your state of honour I am perfect. If you will take a homely mans advice, be not found here; hence, with your little ones. To fright you thus, methinks I am too savage; to do worse to you were fell cruelty, which is too nigh your person. Heaven preserve you! I dare abide no longer.
Violence
Whither should I fly? I have done no harm. But I remember now I am in this earthly world; where to do harm is often laudable, to do good sometime accounted dangerous folly: why then, alas, to say I have done no harm?
Violence
What are these faces? Where is your husband?
A messenger comes into Lady Macduff's room and tells her to leave with herself and her children for it may be dangerous for her to stay.
Violence
He's a traitor.
I Hope, in no place so unsanctified where such as thou mayst find him.
She asks herself where she should go and that she hasn't done any harm so she shouldn't worry. She then claims that doing bad is praiseworthy and doing good is dangerous stupidity so she should' claim anything.
Violence
What, you egg! Young fry of treachery!
A murderer barges into the room, asking Lady Macduff where her husband is. He clearly has violent intentions.
Violence
He has killed me, mother; Run Away, I pray you.
Lady Macduff tells the murderer she hopes Macduff is in no place where he could be reached. The murderer calls him a traitor and her son then calls him a liar and insults him.
Thou liest, thou shag-haired villain.
The murder gets angry at the son and stabs him.
[Stabs Him]
The son is killed and tells Lady Macduff to run, since she is most likely next. Macduff left his family defenseless because he knew he could be killed, but instead his family was killed due to him running.
