- There job is to create and pass laws made up of the house of representatives and the senate
- There job is to pass laws given to them by the legislative branch the branch is led by the president of the US
- There job is to interpret laws from the legislative branch to see if the laws are constitutional made up of the supreme court
- In addiction to interpeting laws, the judiical branch has the power to declare laws unconstitutional , the power to recive executive actions, and the power to hear cases involving the fedral government
- In addiction to passing laws, the legislative branch has 3 other key powers, the power to impeach the president and other government officials, the power to approve treaties, and the power to approve the federal budget

- The president has several other powers including the power to veto bills passed by congress, the power to appoint federal judges and other government officials, and the power to grant pardons

- They are different because the senate is made up by two representatives from each state and the house of representatives isn't
