  • Hey, Alec look there is fog in the sky we must go to home quickly or else we might get lost.
  • Janice, it is not fog. It is smog it because our factories burn a lot of fossil fuel which releases a lot of carbon dioxide into the air. Smog is just one of the effects of burning fossil fuel, and there are many more. This is called air pollution
  • Man, it feels good after leaving that bad job. Up to that, the uniform was so uncomfortable. So now I will reduce my carbon footprint and live a nice life and find a good job.Sure I will answer your questions and tell more about air pollution!
  • Same here. Alec, can you tell me more about air pollution and answer this question? Why you are so interested in air pollution, not other pollution, and what are the sources of air pollution.
  • I am interested in air pollution because it causes many problems to humans, animals, and the environment. Air pollution causes sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide. And when they are mixed into rainwater, it causes acid rain, which damages plants and sometimes can hurt humans too. One of the effects of burning fossil fuel is smog which we saw the day before yesterday, which causes respiratory and breathing problems for humans and animals. These are a few reasons which made me choose this pollution type.
  • Cool,I didn't know that.
  • Answer number 2 for question 2.There are many sources of air pollution, the first being burning fossil fuels. The last being food production. Fossil fuel has been under the ground for millions of years, which we have dug up for energy and heat in the last 100 years. We have mostly burned that fossil fuel. We have released 35 billion carbon dioxide in 2017 itself. So that was one reason and the last one being food production. Food comes from farms and factories. The farm uses vehicles that release carbon dioxide in the air, and factories that use fuel to work machines also release carbon dioxide. Your welcome!
  • My questions are cleared thanks Alec.
  • Alec ,what are the effects of air pollution and how can the ill effect of pollution be minimized?
  • The answer to this is easy. Let me tell you. The effects of air pollution are climate change, smog, and acid rain. To reduce air pollution, you need to do these few steps: Ride a bike or walk instead of driving, taking a bus or carpooling, buying a car with greater fuel efficiency. Turning off lights and appliances when they are not in use and using energy-efficient light bulbs and appliances.
