- I was in first grade when I heard the violin for the first time. Just before I started second grade my parents let me start violin lessons.
- Learning To Play The Guitar
- I journeyed through elementary school playing only one instrument. I began middle school ready to take on new challenges. Like Odysseus going to Troy to do battle, I went off to see if I could conquer a second instrument.
- Wanting To Play Three Instruments at once
- I chose the piano. All throughout middle school I practiced with Mr. Kim. I learned scales, I learned how to read a new clef, and how to play two lines of music at once.
- The Canines Call Upon The Gods
- Then...COVID.It was one slow summer. I was fine with social distancing. I like my space. I'm not really into crowds and touching. Aside from getting to spend more time with my dogs, there were a lot of boring days.
- Playing All Three Instruments
- The start of school was something to do. But the feeling that I was ready for a new challenge persisted.
- Happy Ever After
- Then...the dogs whispered to me. Like the sirens were known to sing to sailors. I knew what I had to do. I was called. I picked up the guitar and begin to conquer a third instrument!
- But my dogs, little sirens that they are, nearly had me crash into the rocky shore. I was swept up in the desire to play all three instruments at once! Alas, I could not...
- The canines call to their father Zeus on my behalf and...
- zzz
- bestow upon me the ability to play the violin, the piano, and the guitar at once.
- With the new abilities of music I enjoy life and share music with those around me.
