  • The Monsters are due on maple street theme storyboard By: Tyler Hamilton
  • In the story "Monsters are due on maple street" I think that a major theme is to never judge a book by its cover and the person that makes this theme important is Charlie. First, Charlie accused Mr. Goodman (page 76- 80) for looking up at the stars or the sky at night like he was waiting for something or someone, making the residents suspicious about Mr. Goodman not knowing he has Insomnia. After everybody gathered around his front porch, he told everybody (residents) that he had Insomnia and had been looking up at the stars because of his symptoms. Second, Charlie accused Steve on page (81) for having a radio set that he had in his basement and has never told anyone, but then Steve gets surprised that Charlie has been dense all of a sudden and for his behavior. After getting mad he told Charlie if he thinks that he talks to monsters and lets him know that he doesn't. Finally, Charlie was accused by the residents, so he wanted told them it was the boy, Tommy. The residents were so confused and some others weren't and were suspicious about Tommy because he told the residents that the aliens were coming to earth and didn't want them to leave. In conclusion, my theme best supports Monsters are due on maple street.
