  • What kind of art flourished during this period?
  • What was used to express their literacy talent in China?
  • What topics were discussed in poems?
  • 1. The Tang dynasty is viewed as the great age of poetry in China. At least 48,000 poems were written by some 2,200 authors. 2. The period between the Tang and Ming dynasties was in many ways the great age of Chinese literature. Invention of printing during the tang dynasty helped to make literature more readily available.
  • How were paintings/drawings created?
  • Poetry was used to express literacy talent in China.
  • Were humans portrayed? How were they portrayed in these paintings?
  • Topics discussed in these poems were beauty of nature, changes of seasons, and joys of friendships.
  • What did the artisans perfect in China way before it reached Europe?
  • Paintings and drawings were created by the artists going to find the Dao in nature and portraying the nature, not as realistic, but as the idea of that thing. Spaces were left in these drawings/paintings.
