- We will be demonstrating the stop strategy! With a skit!
- S: "Saying No"
- Yo Lizzy! You want a cigarette?
- No thanks Joe!
- T: "Telling why not"
- Why not Lizzy? Don't spoil the fun!
- No Joe! The smoke will stain my clothing, and make it smell.
- Well, it was made by Madeline Herman, but Joe and Lizzy will show you the stop strategy!
- O: "Offering an other idea"
- The "S" in the Stop Strategy represents saying no. This is the first step.
- P: "Promptly Leaving"
- Nah, lets just have a cigarette. Come on!
- The "T" in the stop strategy represents telling the person why not. This is the second letter/step.
- Well thanks for reading our skit!! Know you know what do if it happens to you.
- The "O" in the Stop Strategy is offering another idea besides using the substance. This is the fourth step in the stop strategy.
- Why don't we go and get some ice cream instead!
- The "P" in the Stop Strategy is leaving. This is the final step in the Stop Strategy.
