- 2 500 years ago Prince Siddattha Gotama was born in 520 BC when a Seer came to the palace and told everyone that P.S.G. would be 1 of 2 things either a great king or a saviour of humanities. Being the obvious arrogant king P.S.G.’s father didn’t want P.S.G. to see the sick, suffering and the dead so he wouldn’t let P.S.G. out of the palace and surrounded him with the rich, healthy and beautiful.
- P.S.G. then got married to a beautiful young princess called Yaśodhara at age 16.
- Since P.S.G hadn’t been outside he was desperate to get out and see his future people. After a lot of pleading P.S.G’s father finally agreed but told all the sick,elderly and the dead to not be in sight of the prince as he paraded through the kingdom.
- P.S.G saw 2 elderly men by the side of the road and ran off two see what was happening. When he saw a funeral carried by the sick he was scared and wanted to see what was happening and he wanted to help them and asked his squire what was happening and the squire told him what was really in life.
- P.S.G left the palace at night and sold all his belongings and didn’t eat for days until he couldn’t find out the meaning of life so he ate again and sat in front of a tree for 6 years until he figured out the meaning of life out and changed his name to Buddha.
- P.S.G made Buddhism and now has around 360 000 000 people who believe in it and this is how buddhism began.
