In 1789, France had found itself in major debt crisis. Louis XVI had raised taxes to solve this issue but, this most effected the Third Estate.
Due to the revolution the price of food had gone up. Peasants had few money, a piece of bread would have to last for a week. Many lower class people died due to starvation.
The king really needs to stop taxing us!

Tennis Court Oath On June 20, 1989 Third estate, National Assembly, decides to hold a meeting on tennis courts. This meaning of this meeting was for vowing not to separate until the constitution had been established by France.
Storming of the BastilleOn July 14, 1789 the Third Estate made some demands to the king. One of those demands was that commoners should have more say in government.

On October 5, 1789 women demanded more bread. They also demanded for bread to be at a fair price.
