- ClimaxThe narrator knew it was his time to strike. He lunged at the old man and dragged him to the floor. He then pulled the mattress over the old man and slowly suffocated him. A quote from the story is "I dragged him to the floor and pulled the heavy bed over him."
- THIS IS FOR HAVING THAT VALTURE EYE! HAHAHAHAH
- Falling ActionOne of the narrator's neighbors heard a scream. They had gone down to the police station to report it. 3 officers arrived at his house. A quote from the story is, "Three policemen came in. A neighbor had heard the scream and had gone to the police station."
- One of the neighbors talked to us. They told us they heard a scream?
- Oh! I had a bad dream.
- ResolutionThe narrator invited the officers in. While he was talking to them, he started to hear a heartbeat. Which got louder and louder. Stressing the narrator out, till he eventually gave in and admitted to his crime. A quote from the story is, "Villians!" I screamed. "Enough! I admit the deed! Tear up the planks! It is the beating of his hideous heart!"
- THAT'S IT! I CAN"T TAKE IT ANYMORE! HIS BODY IS UNDER THOSE WOOD PLANKS! I KILLED HIM!
