Storyboard Text

  • Leonard Mead walks in the middle of the night outside where there is no one, but him.
  • STOP
  • Which way to go?....
  • Watches as the people in the room flash as they watch TV (gray silhouettes)
  • Whispers* "Hello, in there"How's it going?What's on channel 10 today?Wow is that game? *
  • A police car suddenly turns a corner on the way home.
  • !?
  • "He wouldstand upon the corner of an intersection and peerdown long moonlit avenues of sidewalk in fourdirections, deciding which way to go..." (Bradbury 1)
  • The police spot Leonard and questions him.
  • Leonard Mead, sir
  • "Hello, in there, he whispered to everyhouse on every side as he moved. What's up tonighton Channel 4, Channel 7, Channel 9? Where are thecowboys rushing, and do I see the United StatesCavalry over the next hill to the rescue?" (Bradbury 1)
  • The car thinks he is crazy, so it will drive him to a mental hospital, and as Leonard looks inside, there's no one in the car.
  • WHAT?!?!?
  • SIR, I'M TAKING YOU TO A MENTAL HOSPITAL.
  • "He was within a block of hisdestination when the lone car turned a corner quitesuddenly and flashed a fierce white cone of lightupon him." (Bradbury 1)
  • He passes by his house and says..., but there was no answer..

  • "Your name?" said the police car in ametallic whisper. He couldn't see the men in it for thebright light in his eyes.

  • "They passed one house on one street amoment later, one house in an entire city of housesthat were dark, but this one particular house had all ofits electric lights brightly lit, every window a loudyellow illumination, square and warm in the cooldarkness." (Bradbury 2)
