After a mighty moral struggle with the Egyptian Pharoah, Moses leads the Isralites in  an escape out of Egypt
woo-hoo!!
brothers and sisters, follow me so we can escape from Egypt
In this meal, Jews recall how the Isralites, ate a meal of lamb, sacrificed to God, and unleavened bread before they fled to Egypt to be freed and saved by their God.
The Isralites sacrificed all they had to God
After escaping Egypt the Isralites knew God was with them, however they grumbled at Moses about their severe surroundings and lack of food
We would rather be enslaved in Egypt than die in this desert
God will  care for you
Moses made an encounter with Yahweh on the mountaintop, which is told with great drama in the book of Exodus
*commands Moses to say chosen words to the house of Jacob and to tell the Isralites
The Isralites forever changed and elevated the human understanding for morality, our sense of what is right and wrong.
the code that truly did make the Jews is "a light to the nations"
The Isralites who had been chosen and freed by a tender and loving God lost sight of how gracious God had been to them and they started to praise a false God
How could you people forget how gracious God has been to you!
