- After the war ended, American planes came to Louie's camp and dropped some supplies, it was not near enough so they wrote on the road, 7000 POWS and the Americans brought tons and tons of food. So much that they had to write "That's Enough Thanks"

- After Finally getting back from Japan Louie got to see his family for the first time in almost 3 years
- When Louie got home from Japan, he fell in love with Cynthia Applewhite, he then took her as his wife.
- After getting back from Japan, Louie found alchohol as a way to numb the pain of his abusement as a POW all the while planning to go to Japan and kill his tormenter.
- Eventually Cynthia convinced Louie to go see Billy Graham preach and it changed his life forever, he remembered all the times he should of died but survived and gave his life to God. When he returned home he threw away all his alcohol
- After Louie dedicated his life to God, he lost hate for his Japanese tormentors. He scraped enough money to get to Sugamo Prison and shook hands with all of the Japanese prisoners
