- Demeter and Persephone were happy togheter, like the perfect family, Demeter took care of nature while Persephone was around with her friends or alone.

- Demeter saw that her daughter wasn't at home. She looked for her in every place but she wasn't there; she was very concerned.
- Demeter was so sad because of her missing daughter that she stopped taking care of plants and the Earth.All became grey and cold, the other gods where concerned about the human future, so they talked about what they should do to bring Demeter's happiness back. They decided to look for Persephone in the Underworld.
- Hermes flew to the underworld and tried to convince Hades to let Persephone free because she didn't love him, but he wasn't that dumb. He knew Persephone swallowed some seeds because she was hungry, so she could go home but she needed to go back to the underworld for some months.
- When Persephone got back home, her mother stopped using dark colors and started taking care of the world again. The plants and food grew up and the cold left the world.But when Persephone got back to the underworld, Demeter left her place and cold got back again. This is the origin of the seasons.
