Good afternoon class, today's class will be. about the scientific revolution, a historical event which set the basis for the new era of technology.
It started in Great Britain by the early 18th century, people there had used up most of their trees for building houses and ships and for cooking and heating. In their search for something else to burn, they turned to the hunks of black stone (coal) that they found near the surface of the earth. Soon they were digging deeper to mine it. Their coal mines filled with water that needed to be removed; horses pulling up bucketfuls proved slow going. So they needed a better way to do it.
This Industrial revolution happened due to some aspects like the economic and political competition in Europe, the European scientific revolution, the agricultural revolution in Britain, the government policies, the political information over India and other colonies, the innovations in technology and the growth in population.
Inventions like the Steam Engine where developed during this period, which used to power steam locomotives, steamboats and steam ships. The telephone was part of the several inventions which emerged during this period, the sewing machine is also included, the x-ray should be mentioned too. The lightbulb, the airplane, and the combustible engine were also invented during the industrial revolution. And the basis for contemporary technology were set during this epoch.
Important inventors of the Industrial Revolution included James Watt, who greatly improved the steam engine; Richard Trevithick and George Stephenson, who pioneered the steam locomotive; and Robert Fulton, who designed the first commercially successful paddle steamer
Alright, that was it for today's session, I hope you've learned a lot more about the industrial revolution during this class.
