- We can now start our own churches after this schism!
- During the conquests of the Umayyad Caliphate, the Muslims had gotten to Spain. The Islamic army was able to conquer most of the Iberian Peninsula. They tried to conquer the rest of Europe but were stopped during the Battle of Tours in France.
- The First Crusade
- Let us commence the 1st Crusade to take our holy lands back from the Muslims!
- After Odoacer took the crown to Rome, it marked the end of the Roman Empire. Rome changed to barbarism instead of government strength, education, and culture. This would devolve to the Dark Ages.
- The Signing of the Magna Carta
- You must sign this document, or else we will rebel!
- Eastern and Western Europe disagreed with one another because of their differences. This led to a schism, or split, between the two regions, forming the Eastern Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church.
- Reconquista
- After the Muslims took Jerusalem and the Holy Land, Pope Urban II, with the approval of Alexios I Komnenos, the 1st Crusade begun to take the lost lands back. It was a great success, however, the next crusades after the 1st one were not as successful.

- King John, faced with a possible rebellion, was forced to sign the Magna Carta. This charter of liberties would place him and the other, future, sovereigns for England in a rule of law. It did not succeed initially, but it was revised and reissued. This new document later acted as the foundation for the English system of common law.
- Fine!
- The Reconquista was a long string of wars between the Christian Kingdoms and the Muslim Moors. They fought over control of the Iberian Peninsula. The Reconquista lasted from 718 to 1492. After the wars were over, the Jews and Muslims in Spain were forced to become Christian or be kicked out of Spain.
