  • Wow look at these fields#160;
  • The Lady is Janie Crawford and the man's name is Tea Cake.Janie and Tea cake impact on the plot of the story is that these characters were basically meant to help each other especially Tea Cake help Janie reach her goals in life.Teak cake helps Janie learn more about herself then Janie's previous husbands.#160;“But oh God, don't let Tea Cake be off somewhere hurt and Ah not know nothing about it. And God, please suh, don't let him love nobody else but me”
  • Everglades was the setting that impacted the plot because this location was a very segregation place back then at the time.There was slavery also where this story takes place as well. Janie talking about the Everglades Janie is overwhelmed by the rich and fertile fields.
  • One theme from the book their eyes were watching god would be racism and race.Throughout this book there is racism and mistreatment towards black people especially during this time.#160;“They’s mighty particular how dese dead folks goes tuh judgement…. Look lak dey think God don’t know nothin’ ’bout de Jim Crow law.”This is a qoute from Janie but also the Jim Crow Laws were laws used against black people back in the days of racism towards black people.
  • The major conflict that has happened in the story is that when Teacake pulls out a gun on Janie.After this Janie then ends up shooting Teacake out of self defense then Teacake dies in Janie's arms and then Teacake bites Janie. Teacake dies then Janie feels that Teacake will always be with her and he has done so much.
  • The impact on the reader of switching from different POV throughout the story is very interesting and also makes the story more exciting because you get different point of views.Famous qoute from narrator#160;Zora Neale Hurston#160;#160;All gods who receive homage are cruel.
  • This can affect the reader by not fully understanding what the words or language can be understood.I think this is good in my opinion because it shows in the book how they spoke back then which was very interesting just sounded very dramatic.In my opinion any reaction could be the same when learning or hearing how others speak for the first time.
