the fire lighted the trunks of the trees and the curving branches overhead
george lay back on the sand and cross his hands under his head
only the tops of the Gabilan mountains flamed with the light of the sun that had gone from the valley
the little man jerked down the brim of his hat a scowled over at lennie
blubberin like a baby, jesus christ! a big guy like you
No-look! i was jus' foolin, lennie. 'cause i want you to stay with me - George
this is what george says after a argument with lennie after he realizes he's been too harsh. I think George is a hard working character that cares about lennie but wont show it. I also think he can have his moments and explode and say things that he doesn't mean
thats good! you deink some, gorege. You take a good big drink-lennie
this shows that lennie cares for gorge but is also childish.
companionship- we got someone to talk to that gives a damn about uslennie is saying that they have each other while other farmers have nobody
dreams-when the end of the month come i could take my fifty bucks and go into town and get whatever i want this is george dreaming about what his life could be like
money...money...
when they get to the ranch they work really hard and get a good life set for ahead of them
by even just the first chapter you can tell george has a good work ethic and wants to be successful so bad. if lennie will follow georga then they could both have a bright future
