- Well then, we're on an island. We've been on the mountain top and seen water all round
- By the time Ralph finished blowing the conch, the platform was crowded. There were differences between this meeting and the one held in the morning. Pg. 32 The choir boys and Jack were there when the conch was blew, while the other boys were still finding their way through the island.
- Lord of the Flies
- There isn't a snake-thing. But if there was a snake, we'd hunt it and kill it.
- Ralph gathered everyone that was on the plane using his conch. Ralph began to think and what to say to everyone after scouting the island, including Jack and Piggy. Ralph also had to make sure that everyone is there to hear his speech. Spending time thinking, Ralph spoke.

- All at once he found he could talk fluently and explain what he had to say. Ralph passed his hand through his fair hair and spoke. Pg32 Ralph explained what happened when Jack, Simon, and himself searched through the island. The trio found pigs but no shelters or any people on the island, just themselves.
- Lord of the Flies
- Ralph is letting the kids speak on what they saw or heard on the island using the conch. The birth marked kid, next to Piggy, tells him that he saw a beastie in the woods. Ralph refuses to believe that there's a snake but jack somewhat believes it. Jack would do anything to make himself look stronger than anyone, even Ralph.
- He wants to know what you're going to do about the snake-thing.
- After the meeting and exploring around with the other boys, Ralph and everyone went on top of the mountain they saw. Jack ordered his people to get wood(dead wood or trunks) for the fire and grabbed Piggy's glasses to light it up on the bonfire they created. It went well except some fire catches on dead trees and lighting everything on fire, on the island.
- You got your small fire alright.
- Oh, shut up!
- After the wildfire calm down, Ralph, Piggy, and Jack got into an argument. Piggy brought up the birthmarked kid and asked where he was. Ralph states that the kid went back to where the meeting was held but only to realize that the kid has been killed by the snakes. The trio was in shocked except for Jack.
