- First Contact, Part Three
- I wonder what Olly is doing?
- Yes, yes, quite lovely, thank you!!
- Hi, Mr. Waterman.
- Astronaut Ice Cream
- This is quite lovely!
- What do we have here today?
- Everything's A Risk
- I wonder if Olly is home. I don't see hi anywhere.
- Madeline is texting Olly after 8 p.m. in her room because her nurse is with her all day and this is the time Madeline is alone to text Olly through email. Maddie and Olly email each other for a while. Maddie always emails Olly after 8 p.m. and have good conversations each day. Maddie likes to email Olly because he is her only friend since Maddie can't go outside.

- What is so interesting on that computer?
- Nothing, it is just a cat video that I am watching but it's a bad one.
- Madeline is with her favorite tutor which is an architect tutor. The tutor's name is Mr. Waterman. This is during the week and Madeline doesn't really know how to talk to him because she has only seen him a few times. She loves architecture and always hides an astronaut in her models. The astronaut represents how Maddie is isolated from the world.
- Fifteen Minutes Later
- Olly can't come over because it is a risk and your mom would not be okay with it.
- Maybe Olly could come for a visit?
- Madeline keeps looking out the window for Olly because she hasn't had contact with him since the model for her assignment. This is in her bedroom, during the week. Madeline really wants to email him but she can't because of her nurse. She has a ton of emails from Olly that she want's to check.
- Two Hours later
- Could Olly come, it can only be for a little bit and he could get decontaminated.
- This is at 12:30 p.m. when Madeline is on her lunch break in her room. Carla keeps on smiling at Maddie because she knows that she is talking to Olly. When Maddie switches her tab to her email, Olly has sent her a ton of emails and laughs a little. Carla catches Maddie on her email because Maddie is a bad liar and told Carla she was watching a cat video. Carla Knows what really is going on and laughs because Maddie is telling her it's a cat video.
- You have been checking your e-mail and trying to look for out the window.
- Yeah it's not a cat video, you are a very bad liar. I have one of you at home, .
- I promise I am not hiding anything from you, there is nothing to worry about.
- Maddie and Carla are in her room fifteen minutes later and Maddie asks Carla if Olly could come for a visit. Maddie is surprised she asked herself. Carla is not surprised because she knows that it would not be okay and it's a big risk. Carla hasn't said yes or no. Maddie just wants to know if Olly could come.
- Maddie and Carla are in her room two hours later. Maddie tries to ask Carla again if Olly can come but Carla tells Maddie that she is crazy. Maddie was suggesting that Olly could get decontaminated but Carla interrupts her. Maddie just want's to see and talk to Olly because she doesn't really have friends since she can't go outside.
- Are you crazy? He can't come over!
