- I didn't think! I forgot! I was trying to sneak in. We were so tired and we couldn't walk any more.
- Does he really love me? Maybe he was just pretending he loved me but he doesn't
- In this scene Ponyboy just got back from the lot and he accidentally slept so when he got back Darry was very mad and was arguing so hard Darry threw a hand into Ponyboys face and his head hit the door.

- Can't you use your head!! You don't think ! You know better than this!!
- You don't yell at people like this, you should know better
- You don't tell me that boy you deserve this!! Never said that again or I will do worse.
- In this Scene Darry was so mad at ponyboy there were arguing like crazy. Sodapop tried to keep Darry down but then Darry turned at him and said, "keep your trap shut!! then Ponyboy yelled,"You don't yell at him"!! then the unthinkable happened Darry turned back at him and slapped him so hard he knocked his head against the door.

- You should not be scared.
- Maybe we shouldn't have run away. It is freezing and I could be in my warm bed right now. I have never seen a brawl like that. It makes me kinda scared.
