before schooling in the new england colonies most kids would be put to work in the fields and to help the family.

in 1647 they made a law starting to reqire schooling in new england colonies. if you had 50 familys in your town you just had to have one teach to help teach kids. but if you had 100 familys then you would have to go to a school.

schooling for the souther colonies was not reqired so most kids in the south were not very smart and just worked with thier parents.

African americans were treated very poorly. They were transported in ships from aftica as slavesn to work in the new worlds. these times were tough and not everyone would make it. they were packed in very tight and a lot died from diesies.
If they would live the boat ride across the ocean then they would be bought and owned. Slavery was very popular in the souther colinies like viginia and gorgia. They were forced to work for diffrent people and were considered property.

everntully most slaves would die of dises and other things. they never got to go home to their familys which is horrible.
