  • Clara Barton also promoted public health in women's right and suffrage. She then was one of the first women to work in the government where she was then bullied by her men co workers.

  • Overall Clara Barton did a lot for our history of women's rights and helped found a new school and a vey important foundation! That all! Thank you for listening!
  • She then became a teacher but she wanted to do more, so she opened the first public school in Bordentown New Jersey. But after a man was hired as the principle as the school she opened and she was getting paid half his pay she left. She then founded the American Red Cross in 1880, which is still a very important foundation up to date!
  • Clara Barton is originally from Middlesex County where she grew up. This is where she self taught herself about nursing. This came in handy because she then volunteered to be a nurse in the civil war when she no experience!
  • Wow Clara barton founded the American Red Cross!
