- This is me exploring the Ottoman empire throughout the years. First we are exploring how the Ottoman empire first started. The Ottoman empire started from this very successful ghazis named Osman and his followers were called ottomans which give the name to the ottoman empire and started the rise of the Ottoman empire in the 1400s.
- Their fervent desire to spread Islam's influence. Byzantine territories were conquered by the Ottomans beginning under Osman and continuing under his successors Orhan (Orkhan, who ruled 1324–60), and Murad I (1360–89), who were able to capitalize on the decline of the Byzantine frontier defense system and the rise of economic, religious, and social discontent in the Byzantine Empire.
- This era is when the Ottoman empire started where Mehmed’s grandson made some changes to the Ottoman empire like the taking of Cairo. Later Egypt became just a province in the growing Ottoman empire. But the rule of Mehmed's Grandson made the Ottoman Empire don't reach its peak until.
- This is when the Ottoman empire truly peaked .The rule of Süleyman the lawgiver in 1520, changed so much. Süleyman embellished the Islamic cities (including Mecca, Damascus, and Baghdad) with mosques, bridges, aqueducts, and other public works in order to defend the territories he conquered from the Christians. In general, Süleyman succeeded in changing Constantinople from a Byzantine metropolis into Istanbul, a respectable capital for a powerful Turkish and Islamic empire.
