- I am Koyla and I am accused of being a deserter
- you must come with us you have no future living here, you're going to die soon
- I must stay here!!
- it is wood alcohol
- it is vodka!!
- Chapter 2: Lev meets Koyla. Koyla starts introducing himself to Lev. Koyla offers Lev food. They start getting to meet each other and explain why they are being held there.
- Keep that same energy you won't be living for long!
- Chapter 8: Koyla and Lev go to where they're said to go. But come upon a stubborn kid that doesn't want to give up the old living rooster. Until at the end Koyla and Lev convince him to give up the rooster. They try to convince him to come with them but he ends up staying because he has no hope in himself anymore and is soon sent to die.
- We must keep the rooster
- It won't be able to lay eggs by Thursday sunrise
- Chapter 5: Koyla and Lev walk past the stalls full of grenades, pistols, and boots. Koyla stops at a stall of an old man claiming he sells Vodka, but Koyla insists it is wood alcohol. Lev tries to take Koyla away, but Koyla doesn't listen.
- Chapter 3: The colonel says his daughter wants a real wedding which means a cake is involved, they have all the ingredients except for eggs. Colonel instructs them to return with eggs by Thursday sunrise. Koyla shows attitude and in response the colonel says that they won't be living for long.
- Chapter 9: Koyla and Lev insist that the rooster which ends up being a chicken isn't going to lay 12 eggs by Thursday sunrise. The surgeon enters the apartment and insists that the rooster is a chicken. They ended up having chicken soup and ate good that night.
- Chapter 14: The girls give Lev and Koyla tea, and bread. The girls explain that they are being held there because they are sex slaves. Koyla insist to see if they can get any eggs.
