- Hey John, nice to meet you, I also love football and am excited to get this started, my name is Yona and I am a part the Cherokee!
- Hey everyone, my name is John, and for a little bit about myself, I am a practicing Christian, I love football and candy!
- My name is Yona, and in my language of the Cherokee it means Bear, my mother named me after a bear because in our beliefs we see the bear as a sign of guide, and spirit, my mother thought this name would suit me because I am the first born in the family so it would be my job to guide my siblings when there older to make the right decisions
- WOW, I have never some one who is a part of the First nation community! I like your name what does it mean?
- Oh, I will not be able to make that practice, thats Easter Sunday which is a sacred day in my Faith, because that is the day that Jesus came back from the dead after being crucified on Good Friday, this is one of the most important days in my religion! God was wild back then one time he even made a Flood happen because of the sins of the people on earth and only a person named Noah survived on a big boat with one male of each animal and one female!
- That's so cool, I have something similar to actually. My dad named me John, in my religion John, who in my religion is a very important aspotale of our God Jesus, he spent his life spreading and teaching people about the teachings of Jesus
- Crazy! Well thats the end of practice, Can't wait to catch up next Sunday morning at practice!
- Wow, isn't that crazy how Jesus came back from the dead I didn't know that, I guess it is not much different than the story of our Grandfather Buzzard, he was the creator of the land 100s and 100s of years ago, his wings created the large valleys and mountain ranges due to the wind from him flying around, as he noticed the earth had hardened from the great flood , the animals started to come back to earth eventually creating the sun and us today, Now we honour our grand father buzzard by having him on top of the totems today
