I am expecting that the empathy, iterate and porotype phase of my story of learning will convince admins and teachers a my school to implement these into our curriculum!
When I first started this course, I had not heard of Habits of Mind Thinking Routines.
This was no walk in the park. We started group work early on and collaboration was challenging since were were not given step by step directions, but rather an empty canvas to create and be creative while thinking outside the box. This was new, since most of our schooling was a cookie cutter" do as I do" teaching and learning experience.
Pitching my Ideas to our School Teachers and Staff
Ideate/Prototype/Iterate of my Story

I pitched my idea, but I was not convincing enough. So I am coming back with the information into the following slides to gain more support to incorporate these wonderful ways of classroom culture into our school curriculum.
Then I read "The Little Boy" by Helen Buckley. I saw my own school years flash before me, and I also saw that I need to give my first grade students an outlet of creativity, instead of contently giving them examples of what work I expect them to do and how it should look like. Where did creativity go?
