- Setting- Plato's academy in Athens, 367 BCECharacters- Aristotle, PlatoAt the age of 17, Aristotle is sent to Athens to study at Plato's academy. There he is taught by Plato. However, he and Plato disagreed on some of Plato’s philosophical treatises. Because of this, when Plato died in 347 BCE, Aristotle did not inherit the academy.

- Setting- Atarneus and Assos, 347-344 BCECharacters- Aristotle, Pythias, Pythias, HermiasAngry that he didn't inherit the academy, Aristotle moves to Atarneus and Assos to join Hermias's court. There he falls in love with Pythias, who is Hermias's niece. They have one daughter, also named Pythias.

- Setting- Pella, Macedonia. 343-336 BCECharacters- King Phillip II, Alexander, AristotleKing Phillip II requests for Aristotle to come tutor his 13-year-old son Alexander in 343 BCE. He tutors Alexander for 7 years until king Phillip II dies, and Alexander takes the throne.
- Setting- Athens, 335-325 BCECharacters- Aristotle, TheophrastusAristotle leaves Macedonia to set up a school in Athens called the Lyceum. His school became a rival of Plato's academy, where he taught a philosophical approach called teleology. After lecturing at the Lyceum for 12 years he selected Theophrastus to succeed him.

- Setting- Athens and Chalcis, 323-322 BCECharacters- Aristotle, Athens assemblyAfter the death of Alexander the Great, the assembly in Athens declared war on his successor. Aristotle was considered to be pro-Macedonian and was charged with impiety. Aristotle chose to go on voluntary exile to Chalcis, where he dies after only a year.
