- Imagine being stuck in the loop of social media. Others simply do not exist in the world of social media, this is because you don't see the other people physically so those on the other side of the screen are not real in your eyes. They don't matter. you are the only person that matters in the world of social media. others are just shadows, they don't have feelings or emotions. The only thing you can do is scroll through endless tweets, videos, and pictures from people you don't even know. The only world you experience is the world broadcasted on social media you believe this world is real, even though it isn't. This world is all you know.
- Now, imagine you had the opportunity to get off of social media, the world you think is the real world and experience the real world outside. The world you experience is completely different from social media. You trusted that everything you saw on social media was the real world, and that everyone around you wasn't real because they are not physically with you but on the other side of a screen.
- Now that you can experience the world outside of the phone, you see real people and understand that they are not shadows. You understand that they have feelings. You experience actual social interaction. You understand that you are not the only person in the world. You can now see that social media is a lie, and that social media is an exaggerated form of the outside world.
