- Will realises that being a Returner, being evil is his destiny. He's come to Claire's place one more time to say goodbye. On his way out of her bedroom window Without thinking about it Will lets his emotions take over and kisses Claire goodbye.
- Will is tied up by Patrick and Harry (his dad) while Patrick yells at him about the immigrants, keep out of it, it's not up to you. this is a nation crisis. Will dad acts in support of Patrick's actions It's for your own good son
- After Will fainted in the police station he insisted on talking to the police commissioner. He had originally planned to side with his dad (the National Party 'immigrants out') and claim Yan did stab Mr Best. But he changes his mind and works out a risky deal with the commissioner. This decision entailed that he confesses to murdering Mr Best, in the hope that his dad would feel pity and admit to the set-up. This plan worked, Harry admitted that it was him and Patrick that set up the whole thing, in the aim of promoting the Nationalist Party with "England of the English"
