Dante is lost in the Dark Wood of Error, having strayed from his virtuous path. He meets Virgil, a Roman poet who promises to accompany him on a voyage around the globe and into Hell in order to reach the Mount of Joy.
CLIMAX
Dante has reached a point in his life when he must comprehend what has occurred in order to reclaim his confidence in God's purpose. He is terrified to enter Hell with Virgil, but he realizes that Beatrice, Dante's love, has sent Virgil to accompany him on this voyage.
FALLING ACTION

The poets descend through Hell's levels, each one worse than the one before it in terms of sin and torture. In limbo, they encounter the lesser sinners, the lustful, the avaricious, and the prodigal sons and daughters. They progress deeper into Hell, encountering murderers, sexual deviants, sorcerers, hypocrites, thieves, and lastly, traitors.

They descend into Hell's lowest circle, where they encounter Lucifer in the centre ring, known as Judecca. Lucifer has three faces and powerful wings that flap and immobilize him. He has Judas Iscariot, Brutus, and Cassius in each of his three lips, each for betraying their masters.
AVAN REYELL H. PALLARCO
Virgil and Dante scale Lucifer and descend, passing through the center of gravity, till they emerge from Hell.
Dante sees the Mount of Purgatory as he stares up at the stars, the next stage in his quest to understand his own internal struggle. He and Virgil keep going without stopping.
