- Today is our first book club meeting! Jack would you read first?

- Masha Saves the Day!
- One frigid snowy night, Masha took a long walk to town. All of a sudden, she heard a faint cry.
- As Masha continued walking closer, the cry was getting louder and louder. She noticed a box on the road.
- Masha saw the box shaking lightly. She crept to the box quietly and cautiously peeked over the edge of the box to see what was inside.
- Masha immediately began meowing. A lady who lived nearby heard Masha's high pitch meow. She had a feeling something was wrong.
- What is that noise?
- The lady quickly dialed 911 to report that there was an abandoned baby left in front of her house.
- As they arrived at the hospital, the baby was checked by nurses and doctors and Masha got to come with too.
- When it spread through the town about how Masha protected and helped rescue the baby, she became the most heroic cat in Russia!
