- Barnum is a poor guy who saw Charity one day and fell in love with her. Charity was a wealthy girl and she also fell in love with Barnum when they saw each-other. Charity's parents didnt want them to be together but Charity's parents agreed to Charity marring Barnum and so he did. Barnum wanted to get money so that he can raise his children when Charity got pregnant and take care of Charity and his children. thats when the show began.

- Barnum started a circus show to earn some money. He got some people to come and perform at his show. that was successful but when he tried to tell people to come to his show, it wasn't successful. but he did give up and he continued trying until people came and it happened!! Barnum's show became successful and people started loving it so much that tickets were selling out so fast.
- Falling ActionFrom Now On
- Barnum is not with the circus people anymore and now is doing a show with Jenny Lind. the circus people come to congratulate Barnum and join the party but Barnum kicked them out and didn't let them in because everyone would be shocked because they look different from other people. Barnum is not giving credit to the circus people and they want some credit too. in the song "this is me", the circus people come in and show that they dont care and they believe in themselves and their not ugly but the opposite of that.

- Charity leaves him because he is selfish because he only wants money now and for himself and doesn't care that he hurt other people. Later on, Barnum Kisses Jenny which was on the news and Charity leaves him because of that. Jenny and Barnum also leave Charity alone to go do a show in Europe with Jenny which makes Charity mad. The fire was caused by a person who didn't like the show and now since Barnum wasn't doing the circus show and people started liking Barnum's new show with Jenny, people burned the circus down.
- Jenny left Barnum and so did Charity. he realizes that he was acting really selfish and he wanted another chance to make things right. he went to the bar and there was his circus friends and they forgave him!! now they were dancing in joy and the started the circus show again. Barnum also went back to his home to find Charity and ask to forgive him and Charity forgave him too!! now he will not make this mistake again and the show is back on!!!!
- the musical ends by them doing the "Greatest Show" and this musical was about him getting money by doing a show but also giving other people an opportunity to be famous and be shown in a big show!! the circus was important to all of them dearly.
