- The Bugum Chugu is the first Dagomba festival in the year. It is celebrated in the first month of the Dagomba lunar year, the Bugum, and is celebrated on the ninth day of the month. The festival is celebrated to remember the "lost of a chief son". During the old days.
- Where is my son. Send your guards to find him.
- GUARDS!! We are going to look for my son.
- Don't worry dear we will find him.
- The son of a King and Queen went out to play with a group of his friends. They played many games, including soccer which was the last game.
- The boy left this friends because he was exhausted. So he decided to take a walk through the forest behind where they were playing, he found a tree and decided to take a nap. It was late so his friends about went to their various houses and forgot about him.
- ZZZ
- It was late and the King and Queen had not seen their son. The Queen thought he was with the King and the King thought he was with the Queen. After dinner the Queen told the king to tell her son to go to bed, but they both realised he was not with either of them. The King rushed to tell his guards to go and look for his son.
- The King went to the village to ask his sons friends if they had seen him, they all said they don't remember. The king and his guards went on to search for him in the forest.
- The king and his guards finally found his son deeply sleeping under a big tree, he woke him up and they returned to the palace. Before the king went he told the guards to burn down the tree.
