- Over the next few weeks, Lily found herself doing small acts of kindness every day. She held the door open for strangers, let other drivers merge into traffic ahead of her, and even volunteered at a local soup kitchen. Each time she performed an act of kindness, she felt that same sensation in her heart, as if she was becoming a better version of herself.

- "i'm proud of you, lilly"
- But one day, Lily faced a great challenge. Her boss at work had announced that he was downsizing, and Lily was on the list of employees who would be laid off. She was devastated, and didn't know how she would pay her bills or support herself.
- "Remember Lily, you have been given a gift of kindness. Use it to make a difference in the world."
