- Wealthy people could have their likeness carved on stone. Mosaic's were often done to show scene's on battle or big moments in government.
- Greek culture was somewhat civilized and similar to what we have today. But also war was big part of everyday life and everything was constantly under attack
- I Alexander the Great was a conqueror from Macedonia who was able to take over half of the known world. I took over Greece when it was at its lowest. While everyone there was fighting the Peloponeisian war. Half of the credit is due to my father who passed on the massive kingdom to me.
- Women mostly worked at home and raised children. Yet they had the opportunity to hold office, own land, and run businesses.
- One of the Hellenistic ages contribution to how we understand the world was that the earth was round and rotated around the sun. Considering that with out the Earth being flat we wouldn't be here is pretty significant.
- In the Hellenistic age they came up with the oath of ethical standards. It was an oath that doctors had to take were even if your patient couldn't give you anything in return you were supposed to help them anyway.
