Storyboard Text

  • Trenchant- Vigorous in expression or style Ex. She was fighting trenchantly.
  • Appropriate- Take something from someone, typically without permission. Ex. I appropriated food even though I wasn't allowed.
  • What have I done?!
  • Don't mess with me!
  • Declamation- To speak to an audience passionately. Ex. She spoke a speech with such declamation, the audience was in tears.
  • Consternation- Feelings of anxiety. Ex. Jocelyn felt consternated when she walked into the party.
  • Why did I come?!
  • And, that's the end!
  • Spasmodic- Things being done in short bursts Ex. Her hand was moving spasmodically after she broke it.
  • Presentiment- A feeling in your gut about the future. Ex. Janessa had a presentiment about her making the varsity team.
  • Ow! My arm!
  • Hmm...
  • Omnipotent- Having endless power. Ex. Zeus is omnipotent.
  • Commiserate- feel sympathy or pity. Ex. I was commiserate when she told me she flunked her math test.
  • I'm the almighty Zeus!
  • I know how you feel.
  • Apprehension- An intuition that something bad will happen. Ex. Delaney had an apprehension that she would get in a car accident.
  • Exonerate- Deny something someone thought you did. Ex. Karlissa was told by her lawyer to exonerate in front of the jury.
