- I will help slay the beast
- The people of Hooligan asked the Prince and his army to help kill the beast. Jacob knew he could die but nonetheless accepted the challenge and set off on a long journey to find this magnificent weapon.

- Legend said, the only thing that could defeat Grendel was “The Tyfrim”, also known as “The Finger of God”, a diamond plated sword forged by wizards which would kill anything in one strike.

- Jacob, Prince of Berk, had set off on a quest to slay the monster known as Grendel, who was terrorising the village of Hooligan.
- while walking along the ocean cliffs, he came across a blind man wearing a cloak. He was standing on the edge of the cliff when he unexpectedly turned around and gave Jacob a map.
- “What you seek is not what you think, if you mess up you will not be able to see the light ever again”“Goodluck on your quest. Do not forget: fill the cup with pure blood or death will come to curse you”.

- According to the map, he will have to go through the tunnel and find a golden cup, but he was warned that a single drop of water will turn his torch off forever.
- Meanwhile, Grendel the monster had heard of Jacob's quest to find the sword and decided to capture his parents to stop Jacob on his tracks .
- As Jacob was walking through the cave, he heard footsteps creeping behind him but when he looked behind him, he saw nothing but darkness.
- It's a Phantom!!
- Quickly he remembered what the old man had said and cut his hand to pour his own blood into it.
- After two days of walking, he reached Berk to find dead people on the ground with heads torn off. He followed the arrows drawn on the walls with blood and left over guts.
- As he drank it, a sword appeared floating in mid air, he took the sword from its place.
- Shriek!!! Jacob heard a frightening scream when he pulled out his sword and started sprinting towards the exit. Halfway there, the white eyes showed up again but Jacob did not stop running. He ran toward the eyes and tried to keep his eyes open but in doing so a tear dropped straight into the torch light which turned the torch off.
- He got so close to the exit but as soon as he was about to leave when he was grabbed by the phantom and stabbed three times but when he turned around it was gone and so Jacob finally ran out of the cave to safety... it had only been an illusion!
- Jacob jumped onto Grendel's back, lifted his sword high in the air and with all his force pushed down through Grendel's head, ripping it in half, blood everywhere. The monster fell to the ground and Jacob says “See you in hell”.
- With the Kingdom safe from danger, Jacob returned to his duties. He understood that when you put your mind into achieving something, you can do anything!

- AHHHH!!! Jacob heard his mother scream and ran to the voice and saw his mother and father about to be hanged. “Mother, father, who did this to you?” “mmmmm, mmmmmm!!!!” They were trying to speak but had cloths around their mouths.

- Grendel jumped down and slashed his back with his sharp claws. Grendel saw the Tyfrim and tried to grab it but Jacob got it first. Jacob started running and teied to stop Grendel from killing his mum but as soon as he started to move Grendel stabbed his hand through Jacob’s mum’s chest and pulled out her heart.
